This is quite a charming little whimsical tale of the impoverished "Earl of Locharne" (David Tomlinson) who has to fend off socialist coal board agent (Brian Oulton) from requisitioning (for free) his stately pile whilst he sells it - and it's ghost - to a wealthy American divorcée (Barbara Kelly) who's also on the look out for a husband too!
