It's not a faithful rendition of the original movie. However, this movie is still entertaining with its further world-building to the cult of witches, which is something I wished for more of in the original.
Inspite of Argento's dissatisfaction, Suspiria (by Guadagnino) is an evocative reinterpretation. This movie is an abomination. I truly wish this hadn’t been labelled a remake and had just been something new that was inspired by Suspiria or something. Imagine taking the most beautiful movie in the world and being like why don’t I make this ugly as hell. It’s also ridiculously long. One of my most hated movies.
