Venus takes forever, to go nowhere interesting, let alone terrifying. This Spanish production adapts Lovecraft, in the worst way possible. It takes a modern, predictable underworld/underclass, plot that centres around a down on her luck dancer and her extended family, who become embroiled in the illicit world of drugs. Its depressing stuff, that takes up the majority of this less than inspirin
