Aditi was born in Bangalore. Her father, Raj Chengappa, a Kannadiga, is the Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune Group of Newspapers, while her mother, Usha Chengappa, a Tamilian, is the Delhi Centre Head at Bharat Thakur's Artistic Yoga.
