Sofía Garza was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. At the age of 15 she started performing in school musical theater plays, and participated both as a singer and a composer on several music festivals. During her time in high school, Sofia traveled to France and Portugal, singing and dancing Mexican folklore music.
