Kyrie Andrew Irving (born March 23, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Irving grew up in West Orange, New Jersey and attended Duke University. After one season, he declared for the NBA draft and was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011.
