Sylvester Croom

Biography

Sylvester Croom Jr. (born September 25, 1954) is an American former football player and coach. He was the head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs from 2004 to 2008, and the first African American head football coach in the Southeastern Conference. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide under head coach Bear Bryant.
