Jaclyn grew up in a small town near Asheville, NC. She is the daughter of Gregory and Tonya Helms. She began performing at the age of 12 through Parkway Playhouse in Burnsville, NC. She graduated with a B.F.A. acting concentration and a minor in dance at Western Carolina University.
