Born in 1910 to cab driver Joseph Louis Mandeville and Ethel Amy Caustin, Louis Mandeville worked as a dentist for most of his life. During WWII he was enlisted in the Army Dental Corps, rising to the rank of Captain before leaving due to disability in 1945.
