Biography
Larry Johnson was an American professional wrestler and one of the first African Americans to win a championship in the WWWF (now WWE). He began his career as a boxer before switching to wrestling. In 1972, he won the WWWF World Tag Team Championship with Chief Jay Strongbow. He competed in various promotions and won several titles, retiring in the 1980s after surviving a serious stabbing incident. After retirement, he worked at a junkyard in Florida.
