Douglas L. Williams arrived in Vietnam at the age of 19. His interview featured in Black Men in Uniform: The Untold Story captures the era when America was grappling with civil rights issues for African Americans. In addition to his military service, Williams is an author and is currently engaged in writing a book titled 'Stuck on Third Base: Why Not Home.'
