Andrés Cassinello Pérez was a Spanish army general and intelligence officer who played an influential behind-the-scenes role during Spain’s transition from dictatorship to democracy. A senior figure in the SECED, the predecessor of today’s Spanish intelligence services, he was involved in key political and security operations during the late Franco period and the early years of democratic reform.
